-My love of sewing began way back in the summer before 1st grade. My mom enrolled me in a sewing class at our local community center in San Diego, and that was all it took. I loved wearing my "creations" and made most of my own clothes up through college. The highlight of my sewing career was making my sister's wedding dress--that was dreamy! Then after getting married and having 3 (now grown) kids, my sewing turned from baby clothes and Halloween costumes to quilting, and I haven't looked back since. The quilting bug took over about 30 years ago and since then it has led me to make hundreds of quilts (most were gifts). I have had the pleasure of working in quilt shops around the Raleigh, NC area and have been teaching quilting for almost 15 years. My husband and I are new to Texas, but we're "warming" up to it very quickly! Looking forward to meeting you and sharing a class together soon!
