A little bit of history and a whole bunch of useful quilting techniques such as generating your own templates; color selection; sizing; fussy cutting and much, much more!!
The Civil War Anniversary Quilts book has 150 blocks to commemorate 150 years. Outlined in the book are three sections of blocks that can be used to make three civil war quilts: the Men's Civil War Diary quilt; the Women's Civil War Diary quilt; and the Civil War Letter quilt.
Four blocks will be covered per month: Students will be required to purchase The Civil War Anniversary Quilts available at the Cotton Cupboard.
General supplies: Machine, scissors, thread, extra needles, snips, marking pen, pins, cutting board, rotary cutter etc.
In club, we will teach four blocks per month including the drafting and construction of each individual block pattern. Quilter's vellum paper will be required for pattern drafting.
The Cotton Cupboard will make every effort to have all required supplies available for all students prior to class, however we cannot guarantee availability the day of class.
